High Efficient Energy Engineering Projects
Our designs have been for:
- Woodbine Ecology Center, Sedalia, Colorado: 30 ton ground source heat pump system coupled with a solar thermal plant heating a 10,000 square foot lodge and a 2,500 square meeting hall. Plant powered a 2 pipe radiant floor and fan coil system. Design included a 15 KW solar photo voltaic plant.
- Private Residence, Cherry Hills Village, Colorado: 10 ton forced air ground source heat pump system for a 10,000 square residence.
- Eagles Nest Early Learning Center, Blackhawk, Colorado: 3 ton hydronic ground source heat pump system coupled with a solar thermal plant. Plant provides radiant floor heating for a 1,000 addition. System uses Energy Recovery Ventilators providing fresh air. Design included a 10 KW solar photo voltaic plant.
United Power - Solar Project - City of Louisville, Louisville, Colorado: Designed lap pool and splash heating system for their recreation center. System was designed to be solar thermal ready when budget permits. System uses high efficiency boilers coupled with plate and frame heat exchangers.
- Private Residence, Cherry Hills Village, Colorado: 210 hydronic ground source heat pump system for 27,000 square foot residence. Design has 69 radiant floor zones coupled with 29 fan coils on 25 zones. System also provides heating for an indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools along with 10 snowmelt zones. System uses Energy Recovery Ventilators providing fresh air.
- Private Residence, Denver, Colorado: Net Zero Home. 7 ton hydronic ground source heat pump system for a 6,000 square foot residence. Plant powers 20 radiant floor zones, one radiant wall zone along with 2 fan coil units. Solar thermal system providing 100% domestic hot water. System also heats outdoor hot tub and wave pool. System uses Energy Recovery Ventilators providing fresh air. Residence will be net zero or close to net zero with the addition of the 10 KW solar PV plant.
- Housing Authority City of El Paso, El Paso Texas: Solar thermal system providing 80% domestic hot water for a multi-family d building and 130 KW solar PV plant offsetting electrical usage.
- City on the Hill Church, Boulder, Colorado: Air source heat pump system coupled with a condensing boiler providing heating and cooling for a 10,000 square foot sanctuary. System included energy recovery ventilators and evaporative pre-cooling.
- Cannabis Medical, Denver, Colorado: Design of mechanical and plumbing system for a tenant finish of a medical marijuana grow operation. Design included adding a commercial kitchen, ducting for grow lights, dehumidification system, irrigation system and Carbon Dioxide system.
- Private Residence, Aspen Colorado: 16 ton hydronic ground source heat pump with boiler backup for a 7,000 square foot residence. Plant powers 16 radiant, one snowmelt zone and spa.
- Private Residence, Cherry Hill Village Colorado: 16 ton hydronic ground source heat pump with boiler backup for a 12,000 square foot residence. Plant powers 18 radiant, one snowmelt zone and 4 hydronic fan coil units providing cooling. System uses Energy Recovery Ventilators providing fresh air.
- Bloomies Nails, Westminster, Colorado: Designed dedicated outside air system using a heat pipe to reduce noxious odors.
- Massage Rose, Westminster Colorado: Tenant finish for massage parlor.
- LASAIR, Denver, Colorado: Redesigned HVAC system for 7,000 square foot office building.
- Bloom Floral, Cherry Creek, Colorado: Tenant finish for a floral shop.
- Private Residence, Longmont, Colorado: 5 ton hydronic ground source heat pump with boiler backup for a 3,500 square foot residence. Plant powers 18 radiant, 1 hydronic fan coil units providing cooling. System incorporates into homeowner’s beer brewing process to cool the wort. System uses Energy Recovery Ventilators providing fresh air.
- City of Louisville, Louisville, Colorado: Redesigned heating system for the pipe gallery at the water treatment plant. Design replaces direct fired unit with a water source heat pump using the Sed and 1 million gallon Recycle tanks to extract energy. Dedicated fresh air system uses heat pipe to reduce building load.
The Energy analyses we have performed are:
- Good Samaritan Society, Greely Colorado: 200,000 square foot assisted living campus and a 140,000 square foot multiuse building.
- Good Samaritan Society, Loveland Colorado: 25,000 square foot assisted living facility in southern Colorado.
- Sorrento, Brighton, Colorado: Multi-family development. Provided energy analysis and life cycle analysis for HUD finiancing.
- City on the Hill Church, Boulder Colorado: 20,000 square foot religious campus in Boulder Colorado.
